Disaster Management Institute (DMI)

The Disaster Management Institute, Bhopal organized a three-day TOT program on flood rescue techniques for District Commandants of Home Guards. The main objective of the program was to acquaint the District Commandants with the latest techniques in flood rescue and management.

This program was held from July 8 to July 10.On the first day of the program, a demonstration of the equipment used in flood management was conducted at the Army Sailing Boat Center, Khanugaon.

On the second day, a field visit was organized for the participants, providing detailed information on the equipments for flood rescue by NDRF and the Disaster Warning and Response System through application and app by MAP IT. On the final day of the workshop, participants were familiarized with flood rescue techniques by the Indian Response Agency, Pune.The program concluded successfully with the presence of  Shri Sanjay Dubey (Principal Secretary, Home dept, govt of Madhya Pradesh), Shree Arvind Kumar (D.G. Home Guard),  Shri O P Shrivastava IAS (Executive Director DMI) Dr. Sudhir Dwivedi (Joint Director, DMI), Priyanka Saxena (Assistant Director,DMI) and other distinguished guests. At the end, certificates were distributed to all participants.
